Eva Mendes Quits Acting Due to Relationship with Ryan Gosling
Eva Mendes has found peace with Ryan Gosling and their children, moving away from her acting career to focus on raising their daughters Esmeralda Amada, 9, and Amada Lee, 7.
Having last appeared in Ryan’s 2014 film Lost River, Eva expressed no regrets about her decision. “It was like a no-brainer,” she shared on Today‘s March 26 broadcast. “I’m so fortunate to have this time with my children.”
Being selective about her projects, Eva opts for work, like her Skura Style household product line, that allows her to stay close to home. “Acting takes you on location,” she explained. “It takes you away.”
Despite stepping away from acting, the 50-year-old actress revealed that Ryan, whom she began dating during the filming of their 2011 crime drama The Place Beyond the Pines, fully supports her decision.
