Prince William and Jack Whitehall have a funny exchange online after the prince calls out the comedian for his dad jokes
Jack Whitehall attended Kate Middleton’s school and has had multiple encounters with members of the royal family. During a recent engagement, Prince William’s knock-knock joke included a lighthearted reference to the comedian Jack Whitehall!
On April 25, the 35-year-old British comedian and actor responded to Prince William’s joke about him. Whitehall mentioned that he was asked to tell a dad joke at an event focusing on male mental health, and joked about how most of his jokes are dad-like, so the Prince must have been inspired by him.

During a student radio show at St. Michael’s Church of England High School, Prince William shared Princess Charlotte’s favorite joke about an interrupting cow as his own joke. Whitehall posted a video on Instagram jokingly captioned “#DadJokes #theregoesmyknighthood,” calling the Prince’s reference to him outrageous.
Whitehall recorded his response to the video of Prince William’s joke, feigning shock at the punchline and jotting down his thoughts in a notebook.
Jack Whitehall’s royal banter goes viral
After the video of Prince William’s joke was shared by Rebecca English of the Daily Mail, Whitehall jokingly captioned it with a heart emoji and the words “Rinsed by the future king,” helping to spread the joke further on social media.
Whitehall has a history of jokes with Prince William, having met his old classmate Kate Middleton again at the 2014 Royal Variety Performance. He also engaged in banter while performing at Marlborough College and even met Princess Diana.
