King Charles and Queen Camilla to assume control of Queen Elizabeth’s charities, alongside other members of the royal family; get all the details here

King Charles, Queen Camilla, and other members of the royal family are set to take over the roles of the monarchy after Buckingham Palace revealed the fate of hundreds of Queen Elizabeth’s charities following her death. Palace sources disclosed that reviews of organizations that Queen Elizabeth was patronizing were in progress.
It was revealed that Queen Elizabeth was the patron of 492 groups at the time of her passing, with 376 of them to be transferred to the monarch, Queen Consort, and other family members.
Palace released a statement about organizations being handed over to royal members
Buckingham Palace released a statement on May 3rd regarding the transition. The statement mentioned that a significant review of over 1,000 Royal Patronages and charity Presidencies was conducted following King’s Accession in September 2022. The final decisions will be shared with relevant organizations to mark the first anniversary of Their Majesties’ Coronation.
The statement also stated that King and Queen Consort are pleased to continue the patronage of various charities and organizations previously supported by Queen Elizabeth II.
The statement added that other members of the royal family will also take on the patronage of several organizations previously endorsed by the late Queen to expand their existing portfolios.

King Charles’ support to the organizations
Prior to assuming the roles of patrons, King Charles announced his commitment to supporting the Royal British Legion, the leading charitable organization for the U.K. armed forces. Queen Camilla will assume the role of president for some of Queen Elizabeth’s organizational ties. Many organizational patrons are public, while others are still under review. Once the process is complete, the palace will clarify the roles of other royal family members.
Regarding King Charles’ health, sources mentioned that doctors are satisfied with his progress. He visited the cancer center on April 30 for the first time since being diagnosed with cancer in February. The King and Queen are also eagerly anticipating celebrating the first anniversary of their coronation on May 6.
