Lisa Kudrow Presented with Sitcom Idea

O’Brien had presented a sitcom idea to his former friend Lisa Kudrow during their conversation. Despite their past relationship from 1988 to 1993, Kudrow is now married to Michel Stern since 1995, while O’Brien tied the knot with Liza Powel O’Brien in 2002. The actor explained, “I pitched my dear friend, Lisa Kudrow, an idea for a travel show because it suits her so well.”

“She’s a globe-trotter who never actually steps out of her hotel. Always holding a smoothie and sporting a large robe, she dismisses beautiful scenery photos by saying, ‘I’m good, I’ll watch Sixteen Candles now,'” he shared.

Conan O’Brien’s Comedy Travel Series Plans

“At times, she ventures out in a huge SUV and never returns,” O’Brien chuckled. “She actually agreed to the idea.” The podcast host emphasized that his upcoming travel comedy series, “Conan O’Brien Must Go,” will be distinct from Stanley Tucci’s CNN show “Stanley Tucci: Searching for Italy.”

O’Brien explained, “While I admire Stanely Tucci, my goal is the opposite.” He referred to his 2018 episode of “Conan Without Borders” in Italy with crew member Jordan Schlansky, aiming to entertain viewers while leaving them with a knowledge gap post-watching the show.

Recently, O’Brien made a return to The Tonight Show, where he briefly hosted from 2009 to 2010, as part of promoting his travel documentary series. “It feels strange to be back,” O’Brien remarked to host Jimmy Fallon during his appearance.
