It took 7 years for Christina Applegate to be diagnosed with MS despite experiencing symptoms
Christina Applegate is reflecting on her health journey.
The Dead to Me star shared that she suspected she was experiencing symptoms of multiple sclerosis for “six or seven years” before being officially diagnosed in 2021.
“I noticed, especially during the first season of Dead to Me, my leg would buckle while shooting,” Christina revealed in a March 13 interview on Good Morning America. “I brushed it off as fatigue, dehydration, or weather-related. Then, months would pass with no issues, and I ignored it.”
However, before filming the final season of the Netflix show, the Anchorman actress began experiencing a strange tingling sensation in her toes and other symptoms, prompting her to take notice.
“When we started filming in the summer of that same year, I needed a wheelchair to get to set,” Christina shared. “I couldn’t move much, so I had to inform everyone because I required assistance.”
