Zach Bryan Issues Apology for Controversial Tweet Involving Taylor Swift and Kanye West
Zach Bryan has learned a valuable lesson – avoid tweeting while under the influence.
The country artist faced backlash on September 18 when he posted a tweet about Taylor Swift and Kanye West, stating, “Eagles > Chiefs,” followed by, “Kanye > Taylor,” and added, “Who’s with me?”
This led to criticism from Swift fans, prompting Zach to delete his X account (formerly Twitter) in response to the controversy.
The tweet contained subtle jabs, as Taylor’s partner Travis Kelce plays for the Kansas City Chiefs, and Taylor has a strained relationship with Kanye, who, along with Kim Kardashian, has been the focus of some of Taylor’s diss tracks.
Zach attempted to clarify his comments in the early hours of September 19, issuing lengthy apologies and explanations on his Instagram Story.
“Just to set the record straight, I didn’t mean to offend Taylor the other night,” wrote the singer of “Heading South” on a screenshot of Taylor’s collaboration with Post Malone in the song “Fortnite.” “I was intoxicated and was simply comparing two records, but it came across the wrong way.”
