Marlon Wayans Criticizes Elon Musk for Treatment of His Trans Daughter Vivian Wilson: “You Don’t Disown Your Baby”
Marlon Wayans recently criticized Elon Musk for his treatment of his transgender daughter, Vivian Jenna Wilson. During a podcast episode, Wayans shared his own experience with his child Kai coming out as transgender on Shannon Sharpe’s show Club Shay Shay.
Wayans expressed his difficulty in accepting Musk’s remarks that contradict the gender identity of his own transgender daughter, 22-year-old Vivian Wilson.
The actor called out Musk for severing ties with his transgender daughter, stating, “I’m going to drive my Tesla over a cliff.” He emphasized the importance of loving and accepting one’s own children, unlike Musk’s approach. He urged Musk to show love towards his child.
Wayans also discussed his struggles in coming to terms with Kai’s transition, feeling like he was the last to know due to missed signs. He shared details about Kai’s transition on The Breakfast Club in November 2023.
Wayans’ comments come in light of Musk’s controversial statements earlier this year, where he made inaccurate claims about his transgender daughter. Wilson legally changed her name at 18 years old, expressing her desire to not be associated with her biological father in any way.
Wilson has also spoken out against Musk’s remarks on transgender issues, highlighting instances of bullying and absence in her life. She revealed that Musk had criticized her for being queer and showing feminine traits since her childhood.
