Winona Ryder Hints at Emotional Farewell in Final Season of Stranger Things
The Duffer Brothers have already outlined season five, which will be the final season, but the start of filming remains uncertain.
“This last season took a total of two years, so it’s hard to predict how long season five will take,” Sadie Sink shared with Deadline. “The Duffers understand that fans are eagerly awaiting the fifth season, but they are focused on delivering the best final season possible without rushing.”
While they are not rushing the production, it appears that there will be fewer scenes in the final season. The Duffer Brothers have confirmed that the upcoming episodes will be slightly shorter, with the finale expected to be another feature-length episode.
“We anticipate that the episodes won’t be as lengthy as the previous season because this time around, there won’t be the two-hour buildup before our characters dive into a supernatural mystery,” explained Matt Duffer to the Happy Sad Confused podcast. “Season five won’t have the same focus on getting to know the characters or their daily lives, such as high school struggles or dating dilemmas.”
