The Reason Why Zendaya’s Met Gala Dress for 2024 Is Still in the Making
Zendaya embraced her Disney roots in 2019 by becoming a real-life princess. The theme for the event was “Camp: Notes on Fashion,” and the Shake It Up star went all out with a stunning blue Tommy Hilfiger gown that illuminated the room. To complete her Cinderella look, her stylist Law Roach dressed up as her fairy godmother.
However, despite the iconic outfit, Zendaya revealed that the logistical challenges behind it made her walk down the red carpet quite nerve-wracking.
“This Met Gala stressed me out,” she admitted in an interview with British Vogue. “I was essentially wearing a dress that was electronic. When I arrived, it wasn’t fully prepared. It was supposed to do more than it did, starting small and then expanding.”
