Tori Spelling Is Proud of Using Ozempic to Lose Weight
Ozempic is no laughing matter for the comedian. Handler revealed that her “anti-aging doctor” prescribed her the medication without knowing its effects.
“I didn’t even realize I was taking it,” she mentioned during the episode of Call Her Daddy on Jan. 25, 2023. “She told me, ‘If you ever want to lose a few pounds, this is good.'”
Despite trying the drug, Handler admitted she didn’t enjoy the way it made her feel.
“After coming back from a trip, I injected myself with it,” she shared. “A few days later, I had lunch with a friend who mentioned feeling nauseous from taking Ozempic. I realized I was feeling the same way, but I blamed it on jet lag from Spain.”
Handler ultimately discontinued the use of the drug as it wasn’t medically necessary for her and gave the remaining doses to her friends.
“I’ve injected about four or five of my friends with Ozempic because I didn’t want to use it myself,” she explained. “It’s meant for overweight individuals. I even scheduled my friends’ doses when they came over to my house, like ‘I can see you at 1, I can see you at 2.’
