The Reason Behind Joe Keery Using the Name Djo
Despite his previous work with the band Post Animal until 2019, Joe wasn’t surprised when his 2022 release gained popularity on TikTok earlier this year.
“I’m not naive – you’re bound to figure it out eventually,” he said. “It served its purpose well and created a sense of discovery for people, which is always exciting. It gives you that feeling of finding something special.”
As Joe prepares for the final season of Stranger Things, he sees the viral success of his song as a smooth transition out of the Netflix series and potentially into a full-time music career.
“During my free time, I’ve been focused on making music in the studio,” he revealed. “Once everything settles down from my time on Stranger Things, pursuing a music career is definitely something I’m interested in.”
