Why Savannah Chrisley Is Struggling Amid Parents’ Prison Sentences

The Challenges Savannah Chrisley Faces While Coping with Her Parents’ Prison Sentences

Savannah Chrisley is opening up about her personal journey.

The reality star from Growing Up Chrisley reflected on how she has taken on more responsibility since her parents, Julie Chrisley and Todd Chrisley, started serving their prison sentences for bank fraud and tax evasion over a year ago.

“What’s challenging for me is how Mom and Dad feel like life is moving forward without them,” Savannah shared on the April 2 episode of her podcast Unlocked. “I also feel that way with certain people in my life because they just carry on with their lives.”

Savannah, who has taken on custody of her brother Grayson, 17, and niece Chloe, 11, during her parents’ time in prison, emphasized that she was not trying to make the situation about herself but was highlighting the overwhelming emotions she experiences at times.

“I’m still struggling to keep up,” the Chrisley Knows Best alum confessed. “Whether it’s financially caring for the kids, navigating parenting, or managing my relationships.”
