After strutting down the off-white and green carpet with her BFF Andy Cohen, the star of Sex and the City headed into New York’s Metropolitan Museum of Art for the May 6 event. However, she didn’t stay for dinner or Ariana Grande‘s performance due to an outfit that posed some challenges.
“I couldn’t sit,” Parker revealed to Hoda Kotb and Jenna Bush Hager on the May 7 episode of Today. “Literally couldn’t sit.”
Following the “The Garden of Time” dress code, the 59-year-old decided to wear a sheer dress by Richard Quinn adorned with lace and crystal detailing, along with a hoop skirt. (Check out every celebrity’s look here.)
To prove just how difficult it was to sit in the dress, SJP posted a photo of herself standing in a van on her way to the gala.
