Reasons Why Maren Morris Was Absent from the 2024 CMT Music Awards
Maren Morris decided to skip the 2024 CMT Music Awards for a special reason. She is gearing up for a book tour for her new children’s book, Addie Ant Goes On An Adventure, which she co-wrote with her former teacher, Karina Argow.
Sharing the news on April 7 through her Instagram Story, Maren announced, “Book tour week officially commences. Karina and I are flying to New York tonight, so we’ll see you Wednesday at the Barnes & Noble in Union Square—it’s also my birthday.”
Even though Maren will be turning 34 on April 10, she did not have conflicting plans with the CMT Music Awards on April 7 at the Moody Center in Austin, Texas. Taking a break before a week of travel seemed necessary.
“L.A. we will see you on Thursday at the Barnes & Noble at the Grove,” she added. “And Nashville we will see you this Saturday at Parnassus Books—we’re excited to end our book tour week at a local bookstore that we love so much and a hometown book signing. We can’t wait to see you.”
