Jenny Shimizu, Madonna’s former partner, opens up about feeling like a “high class hooker”
Model Jenny Shimizu reflects on her unconventional romance with Madonna in the 1990s.
The 57-year-old shared insights about her relationship with the iconic singer in the new Hulu docuseries In Vogue: The 90s.
“I mean, you’re not going to refuse Madonna in the 90s,” she revealed in the final episode of the six-part series. “It felt amazing to feel like a high-class escort—because that’s what it was. You’d receive a call like, ‘Hey, can you meet me at my Paris show? You’re in Europe, right?’”
Jenny recounted how she would respond to Madonna’s invitations by saying, “Yes, I’m just finishing up at Prada. I’ll catch a plane over right after.” And she did. She would visit Madonna at her hotel, the Ritz, at four in the morning, have intimate moments, and then fly back to Milan.
Reflecting on the 90s, the model who also had a romantic relationship with actress Angelina Jolie during the same era, described it as a time of craziness and fun. “There was something special about those moments,” she recalled.
