Luke Bryan is Not Surprised by Katy Perry’s Departure from American Idol
Luke has consistently supported Katy during their time together on American Idol, standing up for her against any criticism she has faced.
Speaking to reporters at CMA Fest in June, Luke commented on the scrutiny Katy receives from fans, saying, “When it comes down to are fans too hard on Katy, you know, listen, Katy Perry’s been dealing with stuff like that her whole career. We all get it.”
He also defended Katy’s actions on the show, stating, “You know, Katy gets picked on for going out and trying to have fun making a TV show. Sometimes, you just gotta say stuff. When you roll the dice on TV like that, however it gets perceived.”
