Jon Hamm Admits He Was “Terrified” to Ask Anna Osceola to Marry Him
Jon Hamm wasn’t always enthusiastic about the idea of marriage.
“I didn’t view marriage as a priority,” the Mad Men star told The Hollywood Reporter in a June 19 interview. “Given that my parents’ marriage was short-lived, I didn’t have a good example to follow for finding happiness.”
But everything changed when he met his current wife Anna Osceola, who he worked with on the 2015 series finale. Despite this, Hamm admits that proposing was still a difficult decision for him.
“I just knew that I wanted to spend my life with this person,” he shared. “But when I asked her to marry me, I was scared. I was thinking, ‘Am I making a mistake?'”
Although Hamm felt fearful about taking this big step, he ultimately concluded, “‘Well, if it’s scary, then it must be worth it.'”
And the actor from The Morning Show is happy that he took that leap of faith, especially in a location that holds a special place in their hearts.
