Why Jessica Capshaw From Grey’s Anatomy Had Issues With This Co-Star
“I quickly realized that you didn’t like me,” The True Blood actress, whose character Jo was introduced in season 9, explained. “Let’s refer to it as the burger truck incident of 2012. There was this lovely burger truck, and I took a picture of it and thought, ‘I’ll post it on Twitter, tag Shonda, and thank her for the burger truck,’ which I thought was quite polite. However, someone wasn’t happy about it.”
Camilla admitted that the photo included a “sliver” of Jessica eating, which escalated their disagreement. “You were just eating a burger like everyone else,” Camilla described the photo, “And you told me, ‘You should ask me before you post.’ And I was shocked because I was new and scared, and this was Jessica Capshaw. I felt like she really disliked me because of the burgergate incident, and the atmosphere was not great.”
The tension between the two lingered for some time, especially since their characters didn’t interact much on-screen. However, they eventually patched things up over another meal: sushi. “In short, we invited a group of people to dinner at Katsuya,” Camilla recalled. “But we were the only ones who showed up since everyone else canceled.”
While their relationship started off as “fine” by that point, it quickly evolved into a close friendship over sashimi. “We immediately became friends,” Jessica remembered of their shared meal. “It was like we instantly clicked and felt a sense of belonging.”
Although Jessica and Camilla’s time on Grey’s Anatomy may have sparked their friendship, they are not the only ones who have gone through changes since the start of the show’s two-decade run. Keep reading to find out where all the biggest stars of the show are now.
