The Reason Why Garcelle Beauvais’ Son Jax Won’t Be on RHOBH Season 14
Garcelle Beauvais will not be sharing as much about her family on the upcoming 14th season of The Real Housewives of Beverly Hills.
After her son Jax, aged 16, faced online bullying from social media trolls during the Bravo series’ 12th season two years ago, the actress has decided to keep her teen out of the spotlight for now.
“Right before this season, Jax told me, ‘Mom, I can’t do it anymore. It was too negative for me,'” Garcelle—who is also the mother of 16-year-old Jaid and 33-year-old son Oliver from another marriage—revealed in an E! News exclusive sneak peek at the Aug. 27 episode of GMA and ABC Audio’s Pop Culture Moms podcast. “And I respected that. So he’s not on this season at all. Actually, I haven’t said it to many people, so you’re the first to really hear it.”
The social media hate was not the only source of stress. Jax, who was 14 at the time, also became a storyline during that same season after longtime castmate Erika Jayne drunkenly cursed him out while filming a cast party.
