Francesca Farago Shares Why She Recommends Starting a Family with a Trans Man
“I’ve seen individuals comment on posts by other queer individuals, saying things like, ‘That baby should have their biological father,’ or, ‘That baby should have their biological mother,'” Farago remarked. “They fail to recognize that those who undergo IVF—regardless of sexual orientation—desperately want these children and will love them immensely. These babies are likely being raised in one of the most caring households possible, given the effort, time, and resources invested in bringing them into the world. They will be cherished.”
Furthermore, she elaborated, “People place excessive emphasis on biology and DNA, overlooking the fact that babies are not concerned with these things.”
Farago’s children may have inquiries as they grow older, and she confirmed that they will eventually learn about their sperm donor’s identity.
However, she emphasized, “In their childhood, what they truly desire is love. We can offer them that, and that is what truly matters.”
