Reasons Why Dakota Fanning and Elle Fanning Do Not Compete for Film Roles
Dakota Fanning will always be a fan of her sister.
In fact, the Watchers star and her younger sister Elle Fanning have never been in competition for movie roles or anything else.
“We have a very playful relationship, but we’re not competitive,” shared Dakota, 30, in an exclusive interview with E! News airing on May 30. “We never competed while growing up.”
While acknowledging their similarities, Dakota noted that she and Elle, 26, have different personalities and interests.
“We have really different personalities too, so I think that’s also helpful,” Dakota continued. “We like different things.”
If anything, Elle serves as a valuable support system for Dakota, having starred in Hollywood blockbusters such as Maleficent and Super 8.
“I definitely feel fortunate to have a sister, and to have one who fully understands every aspect of my life brings a sense of calm that I can’t fully grasp because it has always been the way it is,” explained Dakota.
