Caroline Stanbury’s Experience with Ozempic During Weight Gain Amidst a Midlife Crisis
Comedian Handler had a surprising experience with Ozempic, prescribed by her “anti-aging doctor” for weight loss without her knowledge.
During an episode of Call Her Daddy on Jan. 25, 2023, Handler admitted, “I didn’t even know I was on it. She said, ‘If you ever want to drop five pounds, this is good.'”
Although she reluctantly tried the medication, Handler didn’t enjoy the effects it had on her.
Recalling an incident after injecting herself post-vacation, Handler shared, “I went to lunch with a girlfriend who said she was nauseous from Ozempic, and I felt the same way. But I blamed it on jet lag from Spain.”
Eventually, Handler stopped using Ozempic as it was unnecessary for her, giving away the remaining doses to friends.
Reflecting on her experience, she mentioned, “I injected about four or five friends with Ozempic, realizing it wasn’t for me. It’s meant for heavier people. Now, I schedule my friends’ visits like appointments.”
