Boston Woman Accuses Others of Framing Her
A woman from Massachusetts is maintaining her innocence amidst accusations of being involved in the death of her police officer boyfriend.
Karen Read, who is currently on trial for the 2022 murder of Boston Police Officer John O’Keefe, has claimed that local and state law enforcement officials have framed her and allowed the real perpetrator to escape justice.
In the early hours of January 29, 2022, O’Keefe’s body was discovered in a snowbank outside the home of Boston Police detective Brian Albert in Canton, Massachusetts, where he, Read, and others had gathered. Read informed authorities, according to court documents from May 2023 obtained by E! News, that she had dropped O’Keefe off at the party before leaving.
She mentioned that when O’Keefe did not return by 5 a.m. the next morning and she was unable to reach him, she, along with her friends Jennifer McCabe, Albert’s sister-in-law, and Kerry Roberts, searched for him and found him outside Albert’s home in the snow. O’Keefe was later pronounced dead at Good Samaritan Hospital in Boston.
