Blake Lively Reveals How Motherhood Has Energized Her
Blake Lively discovered a new superpower after becoming a mother.
As a matter of fact, the Gossip Girl star shared how having four children with Ryan Reynolds changed her perspective on life.
“I am aware of being a skin-covered nervous system because that’s human anatomy, but my nervous system feels electrified since having a child,” she revealed to her Sisterhood of the Traveling Pants co-star Amber Tamblyn on her Substack show Further Ado on Feb. 22. “I have experienced every single human emotion and more. The highest highs, the deepest fears, the lowest moments. So what I feel in my body is everything.”
Blake, who is a mother to daughters James, 9, Inez, 7, Betty, 4, and a fourth child whose name is yet to be revealed, highlighted how this personal journey has influenced her professional life as well.
“It makes it much easier because I feel so genuine now rather than just imagining, and this reflects in all my creative endeavors,” she explained. “When I experience fear, it’s heightened and more intense. When I feel love, it’s magnified. Everything is probably akin to what cocaine feels like.”
