Virat Kohli Shares Gurdas Maan’s Punjabi Lyrics with Anushka Sharma During Their Delhi Wedding
Anushka Sharma and Virat Kohli’s love story may not be widely known, but their wedding was a joyous occasion for all. Numerous unseen photos from their private ceremony in Florence, Italy, circulated on social media. After returning to India, the couple hosted multiple events, including a star-studded wedding reception in Delhi. It was during this reception that the Indian cricketer introduced the talented actress to his culture by translating traditional Punjabi lyrics for her during a performance by folk singer Gurdas Maan.
In a conversation with Mashable India, Gurdas Maan reminisced about the warmth and affection he received from Virat Kohli and Anushka Sharma during his performance at their reception in Delhi. The singer mentioned that as he sang Punjabi songs with typical lyrics, Virat would lean close to Anushka and translate the lyrics for her so that she could enjoy the songs as much as he did.
Gurdas Maan also shared that there was a surprise planned for him at the event. He initially felt left out when he didn’t receive an invitation to the event, but it turned out to be a setup. The singer was kept unaware of the event details until he reached the venue.
He expressed his delight at the reception, stating that the audience often requests the same set of songs he performed at Virat Kohli and Anushka Sharma’s wedding whenever he sings at events in Delhi. Currently, the couple is in London spending time with their children, Vamika and Akaay.
