Sydneyside Swifites are excited as Taylor Swift‘s Eras Tour is at their fingertips. To help prepare for the concert, we’ve done some research on when to get up from your seats for merch and bathroom breaks!
After many trials and tribulations — the Ticketek presales, the radio competitions, the Ticketek marketplace lounge etc — Taylor Swift is finally going to take the Accor Stadium stage this weekend.
With the first Sydney show kicking off on Friday, the concert will begin with a performance from Sabrina Carpenter followed by Taylor Swift.
The concert will be three hours long, so there are ~preferred times~ for getting out of your seat without missing anything, especially if Taylor is dropping surprises like she did in Melbourne.
We’ve rounded up some tips from Swifties who were at the first three shows to help you map out your bathroom and merch plan for this Eras Tour weekend.

When is the best time to buy merch during the Eras Tour?
It’s best to get merchandise before the gig to avoid waiting around after or during the show. Official Eras Tour merch will be available before the shows, but the lines are long. Merch will also be available on Thursday, February 22 at the corner of Olympic Boulevard and Dawn Fraser Avenue.
Aussie mega-Swiftie and Refinery29 Australia journalist Allie Daisy King recommends purchasing merch before the show and advises that merch “inside” the stadium is better than outside.
Will pre-sale merch tents be open on show days?
Yes, merchandise will be available from external stalls from 12pm until after the concert, but supplies are limited and will be sold on a first-come, first-serve basis.
When is the best time to go to the toilet during the Eras Tour?
You may need to plan out your bathroom breaks based on the setlist for the Eras Tour. According to TimeOut, the setlist for the Aussie leg of the Eras Tour includes various songs which may help you plan your bathroom trips.

Swifties recommend taking your bathroom breaks in between Sabrina and Taylor’s set, and after “Long Live” as there will be a dance performance during that time.

At the end of the day, it’s all about what you’re sacrificing when it comes to leaving your seat. At least with merch, you can get it earlier, but for restroom breaks, that’s your body’s choice.
