“Yesterday, there was a gross overuse of military-level force as search warrants were executed at Mr. Combs’ residences,” Dyer said in a statement to E! News on March 26. “There is no excuse for the excessive show of force and hostility exhibited by authorities or the way his children and employees were treated.”
Dyer described it as an “unprecedented ambush” and clarified that the rapper was not detained during the raids. He criticized the operations as “a witch hunt,” emphasizing that Combs had communicated and cooperated with the authorities.
“There has been no finding of criminal or civil liability with any of these allegations,” Dyer added. “Mr. Combs maintains his innocence and is determined to vindicate his reputation.”
E! News has contacted the Department of Homeland Security for their response to Combs’ claims but has not received a reply yet.
