Meghan Markle Proudly Shares Daughter Princess Lilibet’s Voice Has Blossomed
Meghan Markle recently revealed that her daughter, Princess Lilibet, has “found her voice.” The Duchess of Sussex shared this during an event in Cali, Colombia, where she spoke about encouraging her 3-year-old daughter to speak up, inspired by her own mother, Doria Ragland.
The event was part of Meghan and Prince Harry’s visit to Colombia, aiming to empower Afro-Colombian women. Meghan acknowledged the strong women in her life, especially her mother, at the beginning of her speech.
She highlighted how much she values helping Lilibet find her voice, drawing from her own experiences. Meghan emphasized the importance of using one’s voice when they have something to say and how proud she is that her daughter has already discovered her voice at a young age.
The Duchess also discussed the influence of her parenting style on teaching both girls and boys the significance of using their voices. She emphasized the need for children to feel heard, regardless of their gender.
Meghan and Harry left their children, Lilibet and Prince Archie, at home in California while they visited Colombia. Throughout their trip, they kept their children in their thoughts, with Meghan even wearing a personalized pendant with their names.
During their visit, the couple participated in various cultural activities, including attending the Afro Women and Power forum, where they celebrated the accomplishments of Afro-Colombian female leaders and entrepreneurs.
The event featured testimonials from local women who shared their experiences of overcoming challenges as Black women in Colombia. Meghan also joined a panel with Colombian Vice President Francia Márquez and enjoyed performances by Afro-Colombian musicians.
