The trailer of the film Indian 2, starring Kamal Haasan, was released by the makers on Wednesday. Filmmaker Atlee also attended the trailer launch event to show his support. Atlee praised Kamal Haasan and expressed his desire to work with him.

Atlee Kumar, who attended the promotional event of Indian 2, expressed his love and admiration for the legendary actor Kamal Haasan. He mentioned the success of the film Indian as a pan-Indian movie. Atlee also mentioned his interest in collaborating with Kamal Haasan in the future.
Describing Kamal Haasan, Atlee said, “Kamal sir is the bible and encyclopedia of Indian cinema. He has given everything that you ask for.” Atlee expressed his desire to work with Kamal Haasan in the future, stating that he will come up with a script and approach him.
At the event, Atlee also praised music composer Anirudh Ravichander for his notable tracks.

Indian 2, directed by Shankar, is a sequel to the 1996 film Indian, both featuring Kamal Haasan in the lead role. The film also stars Siddharth, Kajal Aggarwal, SJ Suryah, Priya Bhavani Shankar, and Rakul Preet Singh among others. The trailer was released on Tuesday (June 25). The film is scheduled for release on July 12, 2024.
Atlee on the work front
Reports suggest that Atlee, who was initially planning to work with Allu Arjun, is now considering collaborating with Bollywood actor Salman Khan and a top actor from the South industry. Filming for the project is expected to begin next year. Atlee is currently focused on developing the screenplay for this mega Pan-Indian project, with positive responses from stakeholders. Further details will be revealed in the next 30 days after meetings and narrations.
