Did Taylor Swift cause the break-in at Colin Cowherd’s home?
Colin Cowherd, a commentator on Fox Sports, reported that his house in Westerly, R.I. was broken into on Feb. 23, and he suspects that the intruder may have had the wrong address.
In an episode of The Colin Cowherd Podcast, Cowherd mentioned, “Taylor Swift lives 10 houses away” (Taylor Swift was in Australia at the time for her Eras Tour).
Cowherd recounted that he arrived home with his wife, Ann, around 9:30 pm and noticed a vehicle parked in his driveway. Upon approaching the car, he engaged with a woman inside who asked if the house was for sale, leading Cowherd to realize he was being robbed. He then called 911 and provided the address.
Cowherd mentioned this incident is not the first time such an incident has occurred.
He also shared insights about Taylor Swift, her mansion, and her song on the album Folklore about the history of the property. Swift purchased her mansion in 2013 for $17.75 million, while Cowherd bought his estate in Westerly in August for $8.5 million.
Westerly Police Chief Paul J. Gingerella provided an update on the incident, stating that the female in the vehicle did not belong on the property and was safely relocated without entering the residence.
