Did Taylor Swift have Kanye West kicked out of the Super Bowl?
Kanye West’s representative has denied the rumor that he was removed from the Super Bowl after sitting in front of Taylor Swift’s suite, despite purchasing a ticket.
The rumor was first mentioned on a podcast episode of I Am Athlete’s Paper Route, where former NFL player Brandon Marshall claimed that West intentionally sat in front of Swift’s booth to gain attention from the cameras. Swift was reportedly there to support her boyfriend Travis Kelce, a player for the Kansas City Chiefs.
Marshall stated that Swift was upset by West’s presence and made “a call or two” to have him kicked out of the stadium. He also suggested that West was trying to “leverage her celebrity” by wearing a mask with his logo on it.
However, West’s representative told Forbes that the rumor was “completely fabricated” and “not true”. The representative did not provide any further details on West’s attendance or whereabouts at the Super Bowl.
Swift’s representative has not addressed the rumor or confirmed her relationship with Kelce.
West and Swift have a longstanding and complicated history of feuding, beginning in 2009 when West interrupted Swift’s acceptance speech at the MTV VMAs. The feud reignited in 2016 when West released a song called “Famous”, which included a controversial lyric about Swift. Kim Kardashian, West’s ex-wife, later leaked a phone call between West and Swift that appeared to show Swift approving the lyric, but Swift denied this and accused West of “misogyny”.
The full phone call was eventually leaked in 2020, revealing that West did not tell Swift about the specific line “I made that bitch famous”.
Swift has since moved on from the drama and achieved success with her albums Midnights and The Tortured Poets Department, while West has faced personal and professional challenges, including his divorce from Kardashian and his failed presidential bid.
