Give a yodelayheehoo for the Walmart Yodel Kid.
Mason Ramsey made an appearance at the 2024 Academy of Country Music Awards on May 16, looking grown up in a stylish outfit. He wore a black sequined suit with a bright pink shirt and a black silk ascot. (Check out more fashionable looks from the red carpet here.)
The 17-year-old shared his excitement about the ACM Awards on his Instagram Stories earlier in the day. He posted about his In-N-Out lunch and expressed his enthusiasm for the event, saying, “I’m really excited because today I have the ACM Awards.”
He also mentioned, “I get to walk the red carpet and I’m looking forward to it.”
Mason rose to fame in 2018 with a viral video of him yodeling Hank Williams‘ “Lovesick Blues” in a Walmart (watch the video here), which kickstarted his music career as a native of Illinois.
Later that same year, he received support from Justin Bieber during a surprise performance with DJ Whethan at Coachella. Justin, who was also a viral sensation, even posted about Mason on his Instagram before the performance and took a backstage photo with the rising star.
