Vineeth Sreenivasan clears Nivin Pauly’s name in the face of sexual assault accusations; the story behind it

Famous Malayalam director and actor Vineeth Sreenivasan has spoken out in support of actor Nivin Pauly, who has been accused of sexual assault. Nivin Pauly, along with five others, was allegedly accused by the Kerala police of sexually assaulting a woman in Dubai in 2023. However, the actor has denied these claims, calling them “baseless.”
In an interview with Reporter Live, Vineeth stated that Nivin was with him on the set of his film on December 14 and 15, 2023. He confirmed that they were together at Kochi’s ABAD Nucleus Mall until 3:00 AM on December 15. Vineeth also mentioned that Nivin then went to the sets of his series Pharma in Kerala, where many people could attest to Nivin’s presence.
Vineeth said, “Nivin was filming with us in Kochi on December 14 and 15, 2023, the same days the woman alleges the abuse took place. It is clear that her accusations are false.”
“If you investigate further, you will find that we booked a hotel under Nivin’s name in Kochi and filmed scenes with Nivin on stage surrounded by people. All of this can be easily verified, proving that her accusations are unfounded,” Vineeth added.
Meanwhile, Nivin Pauly posted a statement on his Instagram, refuting the accusations made against him. He stated, “I have encountered a false news report accusing me of abusing a girl. Please know that this is completely untrue. I am committed to disproving these baseless allegations and will take the necessary steps to expose those responsible. Thank you for your support. Legal action will be taken.”
Meanwhile, reports emerged that the police in Kerala had filed a complaint under section 376 of the Indian Penal Code against Nivin Pauly for assaulting a woman. The woman named him as the sixth accused, alleging that she was sexually assaulted in a hotel room under the guise of a movie role. Nivin Pauly has addressed the public, suggesting that this may be a “conspiracy” against him.
