Venom: The Last Dance Trailer Reveals Symbiotes’ Origin Story as Tom Hardy Faces the Chaotic Alien once Again in Sequel
Venom: The Last Dance’s thrilling new trailer offers key insights into the storyline! The Symbiotes are seen fleeing from a mysterious entity, as indicated by Juno Temple’s character in the trailer. Tom Hardy’s Eddie Brock battles a monstrous creature aboard a plane full of passengers, only for Venom to reveal that the being was dispatched by their creator, in search of something they possess.
In Venom: The Last Dance, Tom Hardy reprises his role as Venom, one of Marvel’s most intricate characters, in the trilogy’s final installment. Eddie and Venom are on the run, pursued by threats from both of their worlds. As the pressure mounts, they are forced to make a fateful decision that will bring their last dance to an end.
Meanwhile, Brock grapples with his inner turmoil, torn between his human self and the entity he transforms into alongside Venom. “This world can’t handle you two together,” Dr. Payne (played by Temple) warns at one point. “But I need him,” Brock asserts.
Hardy and Temple are joined by Chiwetel Ejiofor, Rhys Ifans, Peggy Lu, Alanna Ubach, and Stephen Graham in the film. Directed by Kelly Marcel from a screenplay she co-wrote, the movie is based on a story by Hardy and Marcel, and produced by a team including Avi Arad, Matt Tolmach, Amy Pascal, Kelly Marcel, Tom Hardy, and Hutch Parker.
The franchise’s previous films, Venom and 2021’s Venom: Let There Be Carnage, were both box office hits released in early October. The first installment grossed $856 million worldwide, while the second earned $502 million despite launching amidst the Covid-19 pandemic.
In the post-credit scenes of Let There Be Carnage, the villain was transported to Tom Holland’s Peter Parker universe. Venom/Eddie also made a cameo in Spider-Man: No Way Home in 2021. While there are no hints in the trailers or synopsis regarding Holland’s appearance in the trilogy’s conclusion, all will be revealed when Venom: The Last Dance hits theaters on October 25.
