Box Office Preview: John Abraham and Sharvari’s Film- Runtime, Screen Count, Advance Booking, and Opening Day
Following the success of Batla House, John Abraham and Nikkhil Advani are teaming up again for Vedaa, set to release on Independence Day. The film stars Sharvari as the female lead and Abhishek Banerjee as the antagonist, promising an action-packed thriller against the backdrop of India’s socio-political system. Vedaa has received a U/A certification from the CBFC with a runtime of 2 hours and 31 minutes (151 minutes).
The John Abraham and Sharvari starrer Vedaa will have a nationwide release through Zee Studios, with approximately 2000 screens across the country. Zee Studios has secured good showcasing in both multiplexes and single screens for the film. Advance bookings for Vedaa opened on Saturday, but the response has been lukewarm.
As of Wednesday at 1 PM, Vedaa has sold around 11,000 tickets in the top 3 national chains for its opening day, with an estimated final pre-sale of 22,000 tickets. While bookings are performing better in non-national chains and single screens, overall numbers remain on the lower side.
Based on advance bookings, Vedaa is expected to make around Rs 5.00 to 6.00 crore on its opening day in India. The film’s performance will heavily rely on spot bookings and audience word of mouth during the Independence Day holiday.
If Vedaa receives positive feedback from viewers, it could maintain steady numbers throughout the 5-day holiday period and potentially reach a respectable total of Rs 65 crore. A strong start in the North, around Rs 5 crore, is essential for Vedaa to have a chance at success over the following weeks.
All eyes are now on Nikkhil Advani to deliver compelling content and win over the audience with Vedaa. Stay tuned to Pinkvilla for further updates.
