While on stage at the Peacock Theater in Los Angeles, Usher emphasized the importance of fatherhood. He called on fathers at home or in the audience to stand up, recognizing their role as mentors and leaders.
Usher, a father to Cinco, 16, and Naviyd, 15, with ex-wife Tameka Foster, as well as Sovereign, 3, and Sire, 2, with wife Jennifer Goicoechea, dedicated a portion of his speech to his career journey leading up to receiving the 2024 BET Lifetime Achievement Award.
