Regarding the venue, a spokesperson for Box Hub, the rental space for House of Illuminati, informed E! News that Willy’s Chocolate Experience was supposed to be a “fully immersive, Charlie and the Chocolate Factory styled event.” However, the outcome was deemed very disappointing.
“Many attendees were dissatisfied with the £35.00 admission fee, and despite complaints, House of Illuminati failed to address any of the issues,” the Box Hub spokesperson stated. “As a result, the event organizers decided to cancel the event.”
The statement also emphasized that House of Illuminati was solely responsible for the marketing, promotion, organization, and execution of the event, while Box Hub only provided the venue. They fully support the disgruntled customers and hope that House of Illuminati fulfills their promise to refund them.
E! News has tried to contact House of Illuminati and the Police Service of Scotland for comments but has not received a response yet.
