The success of Despicable Me 4
The franchise continues to dominate the animated film industry, with the fourth installment proving its lasting appeal. Despicable Me 4 broke box office records with a $230 million worldwide opening weekend.
This success is not new for the franchise, which includes the highly successful Minions movie. Both Despicable Me 2 and Despicable Me 3 grossed over $1 billion globally.
