Rich Homie Quan, Hitmaker of “Type Of Way” and “Flex,” Dies at 33; Girlfriend Discovers Him Unresponsive
Rapper Rich Homie Quan, known for dance hits like Type of Way and Flex (Ooh, Ooh, Ooh), passed away at the age of 33. Quan, born Dequantes Devontay Lamar, was pronounced dead at an Atlanta hospital on September 5, as confirmed by the Fulton County Medical Examiner’s Office and various celebrity news sources.
TMZ reported that Quan’s girlfriend, Amber Williams, made a 911 call after finding him unresponsive on the couch. She mentioned that he had fallen asleep the night before and hadn’t woken up in the morning. Upon returning home from taking their son to school, Williams discovered Quan was not breathing and unresponsive.
Paramedics arrived and attempted to assist Quan, but he was tragically pronounced dead at the scene. The exact cause of death is yet to be determined, with an autopsy scheduled for the following day.
Quan’s family and loved ones are devastated by his sudden passing, according to TMZ. His final social media post, shared on Monday, hinted at his determination despite facing challenges.
