Akshay Kumar vows to eat ‘poisonous grass’ if Twinkle Khanna dies, typical husband reaction follows
Twinkle Khanna, also known as Mrs Funnybone, is undoubtedly funny. Her husband, actor Akshay Kumar, is also considered the ‘King of comedy’. In a recent column for Times of India, she shared a hilarious exchange with Akshay.
During a holiday, their guide mentioned a species of birds called ‘tik-tik’ who express devotion to their partners. When one bird dies, the other consumes poisonous grass to join them. Twinkle then jokingly told Akshay, “If I die first, you better eat that poisonous grass too. If I see your second wife with my handbags, I will haunt you both.” Akshay responded humorously, saying, “I want to eat that grass now so I don’t have to hear this nonsense.”

After their banter, Twinkle concluded that she and Akshay continued their journey with cooperation, affection, and mutual tolerance until they reached their camp.
Twinkle, who had a brief stint in showbiz, recently completed her Masters in Fiction Writing. She is a successful author with books like ‘Mrs Funnybones’ and ‘The Legend of Lakshmi Prasad’. Her latest book ‘Pyjamas Are Forgiving’ made her the highest-selling Indian female author in 2018.
Akshay Kumar’s upcoming movie ‘Khel Khel Mein’ will release on August 15, 2024. The comedy film, written and directed by Mudassar Aziz, also stars Ammy Virk, Taapsee Pannu, Vaani Kapoor, and others.
