Triptii Dimri confesses tears flowed for days following Ranbir Kapoor’s performance in Animal; ‘My mind was numb trying to decipher people’s comments’
Triptii Dimri has displayed her acting skills in various films since her debut in Poster Boys in 2017. However, it was in the 2023 action-thriller that she gained widespread recognition and became the country’s National crush for her role as Zoya opposite Ranbir Kapoor. Despite appreciating the love and admiration she received, the actress also struggled with negative reviews from some audience members.

She mentioned that she cried for 2-3 days after the film’s release due to the unexpected negativity she faced. Dimri admitted that she was unprepared for the backlash she received after working with Ranbir Kapoor in the film. “I used to cry because I couldn’t understand what people were writing,” she said, acknowledging the harshness of online criticism.
After seeking guidance from her sister, Dimri learned to embrace her journey and achievements, despite the negative feedback. She acknowledged her sensitivity and the importance of allowing oneself to release emotions through crying. This helped her regain her composure and perspective.
In the interview, Dimri reflected on the changes in her life post Animal, noting increased workload and criticism as a mainstream actress. She emphasized the contrast in feedback she received before and after the film’s release, with a mix of love and criticism now shaping her public image.
