Jason Kelce Announces Retirement, Bringing Travis Kelce to Tears
No. 62 and No. 87 will always be each other’s No. 1 fans.
Emotional Jason Kelce announced his retirement from the NFL after 13 seasons, with his younger brother Travis Kelce by his side to show support.
Travis Kelce, the tight end for the Kansas City Chiefs, sat in the front row with their parents Donna Kelce and Ed Kelce, as well as Jason’s wife Kylie Kelce, at the Novacare Complex in Philadelphia on March 4. It was there that Jason Kelce revealed his decision to retire from professional football.
During the emotional moment, Travis wiped away his tears as Jason reflected on their journey together, expressing the important role his little brother has played in his life.
“We have a small family,” Jason shared. “No cousins, one aunt, one uncle. It was really my brother and I our whole lives. We did almost everything together—competed, fought, laughed, cried, and learned from each other.”
