Tracy Morgan Clarifies His Experience with Ozempic
Ozempic is no laughing matter for the comedian. Handler revealed that her “anti-aging doctor” prescribed her the medication without knowing what it was.
“I didn’t even realize I was taking it,” she mentioned on the episode of Call Her Daddy on Jan. 25, 2023. “She told me, ‘If you ever want to lose five pounds, this is good for that.’
Although she tried the medication, Handler didn’t enjoy the way it made her feel.
“I returned from a trip and administered it to myself,” she remembered. “A few days later, I went out to eat with a friend who mentioned feeling nauseous and being on Ozempic. I realized I was feeling nauseous too, but I thought it was due to jet lag from Spain.”
In the end, Handler decided to discontinue using the drug since it wasn’t necessary for her health. She gave away the remaining doses to her friends.
“I ended up injecting about four or five of my friends with Ozempic because I realized I didn’t need it and it was unnecessary,” she revealed. “It’s meant for people struggling with weight. I had friends coming over, and I would schedule them to come at different times.”
