Tracy Morgan Confesses to Gaining 40 Pounds While Using Ozempic
Ozempic is no laughing matter for the comedian. Handler revealed that her “anti-aging doctor” prescribed her the medication without knowing its effects.
“I didn’t even realize I was taking it,” she mentioned on the Jan. 25, 2023 episode of Call Her Daddy. “She told me, ‘If you ever want to lose five pounds, this is a good option.'”
Although she gave it a try, Handler admitted that she didn’t enjoy the way it made her feel.
“After returning from a trip, I administered the injection,” she recounted. “A few days later, while having lunch with a friend, she mentioned feeling nauseous due to Ozempic. I noticed I felt the same way, but I attributed it to jet lag from my recent trip to Spain.”
In the end, Handler decided to stop using the medication as it wasn’t necessary for her health. She ended up giving the remaining doses to her friends.
“I ended up injecting four or five of my friends with Ozempic because I didn’t find it necessary and it felt ridiculous,” she explained. “It’s meant for individuals struggling with weight. I had friends coming over, and I had to schedule appointments like a doctor.”
