Tish Cyrus Reflects on How She Could Have Been a “Better Parent”
Reflecting on her journey as a parent, Miley Cyrus’ mom, Tish Cyrus, is candid about her regrets.
While discussing her early experiences with marijuana, the 56-year-old opened up about how she believes her approach to parenting would have been different if she had started using it earlier.
Tish believes that using marijuana actually makes her a better mother. However, this realization only came about a decade ago, when her youngest child was a teenager.
“I didn’t start smoking until I was around 46,” Tish shared on the February 29 episode of the podcast “Sorry We’re Stoned” hosted by herself and her daughter, Brandi Cyrus. “I think I would’ve been a better parent if I had started earlier. I really wish I had.”
Tish, who has children with ex-husband Billy Ray Cyrus, including Brandi, Trace, Miley, Braison, and Noah Cyrus, also detailed how she incorporates weed into her daily routine.
“I don’t wake up and smoke a whole joint,” Tish, who recently married Dominic Purcell, known for his role in “Prison Break,” last year, explained. “But I do like to take a few puffs in the morning. And then throughout the day, that’s how I manage it.”
