As the Atlanta native mentioned, she was initially hesitant to share her story with the world, but ultimately decided to do so to serve as a lesson for others moving forward.
“I was nervous, but I decided that if I was going to tell this story,” she told GMA, “I needed to tell the whole story. I truly believe that this story will help someone.”
This sentiment has already been realized, as the TikToker previously shared.
“Regardless of whether people agree with me or not,” she stated in an interview with NBC News published on Feb. 22, “I wanted it to spark conversations about things we tend to overlook due to our desires or haste.”
She expressed, “As I receive messages from other women who have been through similar situations, I’m giving myself grace. For a while after the story came out, it felt like I was the only one who had fallen for this.”
