TikToker Cecily Bauchmann Apologizes for Putting Children in Danger During Hurricane
Cecily Bauchmann is taking responsibility for her mistake.
After receiving backlash for planning to bring her four kids to Disney World during Hurricane Milton, Cecily addressed the situation in a follow-up video.
“Hey guys I wanted to make a video from my last video prior to leaving to go to Florida and just explain everything,” Cecily said in a TikTok story on Oct. 10. “My family is no longer in Florida. We are now in Nashville and we left Florida once evacuation orders were issued.”
The social media influencer—who has children Capri, 10, James, 9, Gracie, 6, and Jackson, 4, with husband Sam Bauchmann—explained that she had contacted the hotel they were planning to stay at in Florida and was informed they could still stay despite the weather conditions, which led her to go ahead with the trip.
“It was a bad decision,” Cecily acknowledged in her apology video. “Do I regret it? Absolutely. I was unaware of how swiftly storms can develop. Looking back, that is something I wish I could change.”
