Alix Earle from TikTok Speaks Out on Past Use of Racial Slur
Alix clarified that rumors of her attempting to trademark her old posts or a brand discontinuing collaboration with her were untrue. She stated that she had never engaged in discussions with the unnamed brand.
“I wanted to address the facts and offer my apologies, regardless of the misinformation circulating online,” she added.
Incidents of offensive comments attributed to Alix emerged on the “Alix Earle Snark” Reddit page in 2023, leading to criticism on TikTok and other subreddits, including one related to the podcast Do We Know Them.
The hosts of the show, Jessi Smiles and Lily Marston, discussed the screenshots and the rumor of Alix trying to copyright her posts on their Aug. 12 episode. They mentioned that Alix’s lawyers contacted them regarding the posts, despite their lack of association with the subreddit.
“Her lawyer claimed a copyright violation for the screenshots posted in our subreddit, alleging ownership,” Jessi explained.
Although Alix denied the allegations, the podcast hosts humorously remarked that trademarking the posts would have been “a creative tactic.”
