Trailer for Thunderbolts: Florence Pugh’s Yelena Belova Gathers Villains to Take on the Most Dangerous Foes
Marvel Studios released the first-ever trailer of Thunderbolts on Monday, September 23. The trailer featured Florence Pugh and David Harbour reprising their roles from Black Widow as Yelena Belova and Alexei Shostakov.
In the trailer, Florence Pugh’s character Yelena Belova leads a team of Avengers who are actually a group of supervillains uniting to fight against a common enemy. Yelena confides in Alexei Shostakov, also known as Red Guardian, about feeling lost and purposeless.
After recognizing a mutual threat, Yelena forms a team called the Thunderbolts to combat the larger enemy pursuing them. The movie features characters like John Walker, Taskmaster, and Ghost, bringing iconic figures to life.
The trailer also introduced Julia Louis-Dreyfus as Valentina Allegra de Fontaine, who was previously seen in The Falcon and the Winter Soldier series. The official synopsis describes the Thunderbolts team as a group of unlikely allies coming together.
The cast includes Sebastian Stan as Bucky Barnes, Wyatt Russell, Olga Kurylenko, and Hannah John-Kamen. Florence Pugh and David Harbour teased the film at San Diego Comic-Con 2024, highlighting the unique dynamics and relationships portrayed in Thunderbolts.
