Salman Khan, preparing for his upcoming movie Sikandar, is not just a superstar but also a humanitarian. Known for his support to industry colleagues and common people, Salman is also India’s first bone marrow donor. In a past interview, Salman revealed that he donates a large part of his income to charity, keeping only 10% for himself.
During an interview on Aap Ki Adalat, Salman clarified rumors about donating 90% of his earnings, stating that while he only keeps 10%, not all of the remaining 90% goes to charity.
Salman explained that many people believe he has a significant amount of money, as his foundation receives requests for financial assistance from heart and cancer patients. He also mentioned that his father signs many checks for treatments, leading him to take on more work to cover the expenses.
In 2010, Salman became India’s first bone marrow donor by donating to a girl named Pooja. Actor Suniel Shetty praised Salman’s selfless act, calling him “God’s favorite child” for his desire to make a positive impact on society.
